After getting
finalist standing in Writer Advice’s 7th Annual Flash Prose Contest, Jennifer Chow published her debut multicultural novel, The 228 Legacy, which was a 2013 IndieFab Finalist. She’s also releasing a cozy mystery, Seniors Sleuth, set in a senior home. It will be out in May.

Gretchen Clark’s essay "Pink Chrysanthemum" was nominated for a Pushcart Prize.

Elizabeth Pagel-Hogan has an article coming out in Faces in May 2015. Faces is a world cultures magazine for kids ages 9-14.

Jeffrey Schneider was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in Fiction in 2013 and for nonfiction in 2014.

Carl Small’s children's book, The Indoor Cats Outdoor Adventure, has been published and is available at Amazon, Rose Dog Books and other on- line stores and will be at the brick and mortars soon. Most, BAM, Barnes & Noble, etc. will order for people until shelf copies arrive.

Patrick and Eileen Granfors both entered the Springfield Writers' Guild A-Z contest (first sentence begins with A, last sentence begins with Z, all others in consecutive alphabetical order). Both entries were accepted! This was Patrick’s first submission. Great writing exercise!

Debbie Hagan's story "Birch Whisper," which won first place in your contest in 2013 was just published in an anthology, Dime Stories.

Congratulations are due to Paul Biagi of Santa Fe, NM on becoming a #1 Amazon Best Seller, with his book, The Woman Out of Nowhere, reaching the top spot last week.

Joanne Myers’ detective/mystery Murder Most Foul is being transformed into a screenplay, and will be offered to production companies for filming. My crime/mystery anthology, "Flagitious" received 4.5 Stars from Manic Readers on January 13. Also I am accepting guest authors on my blogs http://www.booksandpaintingsbyjoanne.com/page2 ,for an indefinite period of time.
