  • Trish Hopkinson—A Selfish Poet
  • https://trishhopkinson.com

Far from being selfish, she’s quite generous, sharing information about small publications and interviews with their editors. Many of the places she lists pay the people they publish.

  • Creative Revolt
  • https://www.creativerevolt.com

I have not taken the free course, but this site has a lot of promises and she advertises her services with confidence and conviction. Great for wannabe freelancers who don’t know where to start.

  • Freelancer FAQs
  • https://www.freelancerfaqs.com

This is a Q & A where you can find answers to your questions if you need to make some money quickly and your skill is writing for others.

  • Writers Helping Writers
  • https://writershelpingwriters.net

The site taps into your creative side and offers lots of resources—from classes to coaches as well as free downloads.

  • Live Write Thrive
  • https://www.livewritethrive.com

Although I’ve missed every presentation C.S. Lakin has made for the California Writers Club, I’ve heard great reports. She sounds knowledgeable and accepts guest posts.

There are lots more resources available. These are five that looked good to me, but you can find them all at https://thewritelife.com/100-best-websites-for-writers-2019/. See what’s a fit for you.

When you query, feel free to say you learned about them in an article posted on Writer Advice, www.writeradvice.com.

And one more:

Flash Fiction Magazine, www.flashfictionmagazine, champions original, creative, and engaging works of fiction with a word-count of 300-1000 words. Submissions are open all year around.

They publish all genres, but they seek complete stories with conflict/resolution and character development.
