So You Want to Write a Book

Saturday, September 23, 1:30-3:30 p.m.

San Ramon Library, 100 Montgomery Street, (925) 973-3200

 If you have any interest in writing and/or being published this is a “must-attend” event. A panel of local authors who are members of the Mt. Diablo Branch of the California Writers Club will discuss their writing and publishing journeys and answer questions as time permits. This is a free event.

 

B. Lynn Goodwin received an excellent review of Talent from the Midwest Review of Books. “The review goes to the Helen C. White Library’s “Cooperative Children’s Book Center” (University of Wisconsin, Madison) where it will be made available to school and community librarians throughout Wisconsin’s public school systems and community libraries. This review has also been provided to the Cengage Learning, Gale interactive CD-ROM series “Book Review Index” which is published four times yearly for academic, corporate, and public library systems.”

Ellen Aubry’s two stories, “Hardship Duty” and “A Suitable Place,” were published in the Las Positas College anthology, Beyond the Window. “Hardship Duty” won an Honorable Mention and the author read a selection from the story at the publication ceremony.

 


Sally Kimball’s Fiction story “Betrayal” placed Second in Prose and published in the Las Positas College Anthology, “Beyond the Window.” The book is available at the Las Positas College Bookstore, Livermore, CA.
