- What’s your genre?
- Who’s your audience?
- What makes your writing unique?
Have an author website.
- Make it yourself with WordPress, Wix or the provider of your choice.
- Have a professional put it together.
- Look at author websites to get ideas.
Encourage friends, family, peers, colleagues, and your writing group to tell others about your book.
- At club meetings
- At work
- Through social media
Find places to do a book signing.
- Libraries
- Indie bookstores
- Local author events
Remember Tupperware parties?
- You have copies of your book
- You bring the refreshments
- Consider giving away an older book out of your personal library with each sale. You’ll be making space for new work in your life
Remember guest speakers in classes?

- Offer a free book for them or their school library.
