Getting Paid For Your Words

Sometimes it seems like all writing is divided into 3 parts: drafting, editing, and marketing. There’s nothing better than submitting a piece to a known market and having it posted the same day. That happened to me today when I sent a new review to Story Circle Network. It should be up on their book reviews page right now. 

Story Circle is an organization for women who write. Sorry, gentlemen, but there are plenty of other places for you to submit. If you are a woman who writes and you’re looking for a place to submit your short pieces, I recommend that you look at the site, click on Publications, and consider sharing your work. 

I was also looking at WOW: Women on Writing‘s newsletter today, because I’ve interviewed and published several women on blog tours there. In the newsletter they identified the following places that are looking for writing. The ones I visited are open to all genders, and these people pay their writers:
